Questions
How do I start a toy?
Open the Shelf, pick a design and tap Start making. The Make screen shows one round at a time with the stitch count it needs.
How does counting work?
Tap + for each stitch, or tap Round done when you finish the round. The bar turns green when your count matches, and every tap can be undone.
Can I use my own pattern?
Yes. Paste it in Check, or open a PDF, Word file or web link. Then tap Start making this.
How do ratings work?
Anyone can rate a Shelf pattern from 1 to 5 stars, no account needed. Each phone gets one rating per pattern, and tapping a different star changes yours. "Made" counts the finished photos makers have shared.
Why is my toy a different size?
Yarn, hook and tension all change the size. Pick your yarn and hook in Settings and every Shelf pattern resizes to match.
Can I count without touching the phone?
Yes. On the Make screen tap Count by voice and say "stitch", "next round" or "undo". Big numbers gives you a huge tap area.
Where are my projects saved? How do I move to a new phone?
Only on your phone. There is no account. In Settings, tap Save backup and keep the file (Files, Google Drive, or email it to yourself). On the new phone, tap Restore and pick that file. Backups work between the phone app and the website.
What happens to photos I share?
Nothing appears until we approve it. Anyone can report a photo from the pattern page, and a reported photo comes down straight away while we look at it. To have a photo removed, use the form below or the privacy page.
Is it really free? Are there ads?
There are no ads, no account and nothing to sign up for.
